NOVINSKA is a Warsaw brand of handmade women's leather bags. The bags are made in a small family workshop in Warsaw, Poland, from Italian cowhide. The brand was founded by designer Maria Nowińska, who has been creating leather goods since 2005. NOVINSKA offers a 24-month warranty and repairs its bags with no time limit.

What leather are NOVINSKA bags made from?

NOVINSKA bags are made from Italian full-grain cowhide from renowned, certified tanneries. Some of the leather comes from the production surplus of large fashion houses. Selected models use suede or cowhide embossed with a crocodile or python pattern. Linings are linen and cotton.

Is it genuine leather?

Yes. NOVINSKA leather bags are made from genuine cowhide, not faux leather. The exception is the Raffia line (Raffia Cloud Bag and Baby Cloud Bag), which is woven from Italian fabric (cotton, viscose and PU) and finished with leather.

Are the Python and Crocco models exotic leather?

No. NOVINSKA Python and Crocco models are made from cowhide embossed with a python or crocodile pattern. They are not snake or crocodile skin. The croco leather is vegetable-tanned, without chrome.

A hobo is a soft, roomy crescent-shaped shoulder bag, such as the PRAGA Maxi Hobo. A saddle bag is a structured horseshoe-shaped bag inspired by equestrian bags. The Saddle Bag Maxi is one of NOVINSKA's most recognisable models.

What is the modular set?

The NOVINSKA modular set combines the Saddle Bag Maxi with the Belt Bag. The Belt Bag can be attached to the Saddle Bag Maxi or worn separately, at the waist or crossbody. Two bags give you several ways to wear them.

Which bag colour is the most versatile?

The most versatile bag colours are black, espresso and cognac brown. They go with most outfits all year round. At NOVINSKA these colours are available in models such as ALICE, the Belt Bag, Saddle Bag Maxi, SASKA and the Bowling Bag.

Are there crossbody bags with an adjustable strap?

Yes. Most NOVINSKA bags have an adjustable, detachable strap for crossbody wear, including the Belt Bag (strap up to 125 cm), SASKA, Saddle Bag Maxi and Raffia Cloud Bag (strap 60–110 cm). Strap length is listed on each product page.

NOVINSKA bags cost from PLN 595 (Belt Bag) to about PLN 2,400. Most models are PLN 595–1,495. In euros, prices start at EUR 185, in pounds at GBP 165 and in dollars at USD 250; prices in your currency are shown after choosing your country.

The price of a NOVINSKA bag reflects Italian full-grain leather, hand sewing by leather artisans in Warsaw, hardware, linen or cotton linings and small-scale production. It also includes a 24-month warranty and repairs with no time limit, which extend the life of the bag by years.

Are there sales or discount codes?

NOVINSKA rarely discounts its bags. Last pieces and models from past collections go to the Archive collection. News and subscriber offers are sent in the NOVINSKA newsletter.

Ordering and production

How long will I wait for my bag?

Bags marked “Available in 48h” are dispatched by NOVINSKA within two working days. Made-to-order bags have the time stated on the product page, usually up to 14 days, plus up to two working days for dispatch. Delivery within Poland usually takes 1–2 working days.

Are the bags made to order?

Yes, many NOVINSKA bags are made to order in the Warsaw workshop. Each product page shows whether a model is in stock (“Available in 48h”) or made to order, and how long it takes to prepare.

What if a model is sold out?

If a NOVINSKA model is unavailable, you can sign up on the product page to be notified when it is back. Some models are made to order, so it is also worth emailing contact@novinska.com to ask about timing.

Shipping and customs

Which countries do you ship to?

NOVINSKA ships to Poland, all European Union countries, Monaco, Montenegro, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Prices are shown in złoty, euros, pounds or dollars depending on your country.

Do I pay customs duties?

UK: no. Duties and import taxes are included in the NOVINSKA price shown at checkout, so nothing more is due on delivery.

USA: no. Duties and import taxes are included in the price shown at checkout.

Switzerland: no. Swiss VAT and customs clearance fees are included in the price.

EU: no customs duties apply to orders shipped from Poland within the EU.

Other countries: local import fees may apply on delivery.

Returns, warranty and repairs

Can I return a bag, and within what time?

Yes. You have 14 days from receiving your NOVINSKA bag to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason. Email contact@novinska.com and send the bag back within 14 days to: NOVINSKA, ul. Przecławska 1, 03-879 Warsaw, Poland.

Who pays for returns?

The customer pays to send the bag back to NOVINSKA. NOVINSKA refunds the price of the bag and the cost of the cheapest standard delivery within 14 days, using the same payment method. The original packaging or receipt is not required.

How do I make a complaint?

Send complaints about a NOVINSKA bag to contact@novinska.com or by post to NOVINSKA, ul. Przecławska 1, 03-879 Warsaw, Poland. Describe the problem and include your order details. Photos help but are not required. NOVINSKA replies within 14 days.

What is the warranty?

Every NOVINSKA bag comes with a 24-month warranty. Manufacturing defects, including hardware, are repaired free of charge. In addition, statutory consumer rights for non-conformity apply for two years from delivery.

Care

How do I care for a leather bag?

Every few months, wipe your leather bag with a soft, dry cloth and condition it with a product for smooth leather. Avoid long exposure to sunlight, radiators and overfilling the bag. If your NOVINSKA bag needs refreshing, write to care@novinska.com.

How do I clean suede?

Clean suede with a soft, dry suede brush, always in one direction. Remove small marks with a suede eraser. Do not wet suede with water. Waterproof it with a suede spray before first use and every few weeks.

What should I do if my bag gets wet?

Gently blot a wet leather bag with a soft cloth without rubbing, stuff it with paper and let it dry at room temperature, away from radiators and hairdryers. Once dry, condition the leather. Brush wet suede with a suede brush after it has dried.

How should I store my bag?

Store your bag in the dust bag that comes with every NOVINSKA bag, stuffed with paper so it keeps its shape. Keep it away from sunlight and radiators. Do not store a leather bag in a plastic bag.

Is a bag a good Christmas gift?

A bag is a safe gift because you don't need to know her size. Popular NOVINSKA gifts are the Belt Bag, Mini Flap Bag, ALICE and Saddle Bag Maxi.

Do you accept corporate gift orders?
